Welfare and Support Services offered by the sub-Branch

Types of Services:

  • Free Confidential Welfare and Advocacy – Provide support and assistance with various issues.
  • Emergency Accommodation – Offer short-term housing in times of crisis.
  • Home and Hospital Visits – Provide companionship and support to veterans in their homes or in hospital.
  • Veterans Affairs Advocacy – Assist veterans with navigating the Department of Veterans' Affairs processes and claims.
  • Emergency Funding – Offer financial assistance to veterans facing urgent needs.
  • Poppy Funeral Services – Ensure that no veteran dies alone and provides support for dignified funeral arrangements.
  • Military Customs and Traditions Advice – Provide guidance on protocols for commemorative events.
  • Broadband Internet for Seniors – Offer access to computers and internet in the sub-Branch office.
  • Day Trips and Outings – Organise social activities for members.
  • Social Functions for Members – Provide opportunities for camaraderie and connection among veterans.
  • Family and Bereavement Assistance – Offer support to families during times of loss.
  • Military History Library – Provide access to resources related to military history.
  • Connecting Veterans to Broader Support Services – Link veterans with services to improve their well-being and connect them to the local community.
